WHAT DOES A DAY AT VBS LOOK LIKE?
LISTED BELOW ARE ALL THE THINGS YOUR CHILD WILL BE DOING THROUGHOUT THE DAY! THE ORDER OF THINGS VARIES BY GRADE.
EARLY MORNING LINEUP
Need to drop your kids off early? Join us for early morning lineup on the AWANA Square at 8:15am. Kids will enjoy group games while they wait for VBS to begin and will earn tickets they can turn in at the end of the VBS day for candy or prizes.
SING AND PLAY WORSHIP
Kids will join us for worship at the beginning of VBS from 9:00–9:20am and again at the end of the day from 11:35am–12:00pm. During this time, kids will come together to sing praises to God and hear a short worship teaching that introduces the day’s lesson, the VBS Buddy, and the Verse of the Day. Parents are welcome to join us for worship!
MISSION STATION
Kids will hear about our VBS missionary and learn about the mission work they are doing. They will hear directly how missionaries are sharing the Gospel around the world and will also learn about the mission project they are raising money for this year.
GAMES/SNACK
At Games and Snack, the kids get to enjoy fun activities that help reinforce the Bible point of the day while spending time with their friends. During snack, they can chat with their group leaders and enjoy a time of fellowship.
STICKY SCRIPTURE
At this station, kids will connect each day with the Bible Verse of the Day using their bodies, minds, and hearts, led by a Bible Memory Buddy. Through movement, laughter, and play, kids will explore what each verse means and how it can be applied to their everyday lives in practical ways.
CRAFTS
At this station, kids will create a craft that connects with either the Bible point or the Verse of the Day. They will have time to be creative, enjoy talking with one another, and connect with their leaders as they work.
BIBLE ADVENTURES
At this station, kids will have the opportunity to hear the Bible lesson of the day and participate in the story with the help of the Bible Buddy. They will also have group discussion time with their leaders to explore what they’ve learned.

CARE PREGNANCY CENTER
Bio
Care Pregnancy Center has been serving Tulare County for over 40 years. We provide free pregnancy-related medical services, including parenting, labor and delivery and healthy relationships classes.
Our Vision
We envision a community with people who value themselves and the unborn lives they're carrying, who receive the grace to live wholly, and who are empowered to build better futures for their families and the generations to come.
Project: Family for Life
Building a community who values life and family takes time to fortifie trust and relationships. CPRC does this through parenting classes, healthy relationships sessions, labor & delivery classes, and post natal support.
Raising funds for curriculum, bible study material, books and baby items (baby bundles) is a way to help CPRC to connect our clients and their families to a church in our local community. Our clients are always amazed that people they don't know are willing to give them care, support and love. It's like giving them a big hug and saying "I see you, and I care".

VBS FAQ's
Where do I pick up my child?
Pick-up will take place in the sanctuary following closing worship. For safety purposes, children may not leave until a parent or guardian signs them out. There will be separate sign-out sheets for each grade, so if you have more than one child, please be sure to sign out each child at their individual grade level.
How early can I drop off my child?
Early Morning Drop-Off begins at 8:15am on the AWANA Square. Kids will enjoy group games while they wait for VBS to begin and will earn tickets they can turn in at the end of the VBS day for candy or prizes.
Can I invite a friend?
Yes! Feel free to invite your friends. Kids are grouped by grade level, and all children attending VBS must have a completed registration form submitted by a parent or guardian before participating.
Can we sign up the week of VBS?
Yes! We offer walk-up registration every day of VBS. If you want your child to be placed in a group with their friends, we recommend pre-registering to help us plan groups in advance.
Do you have safety plans in place?
Absolutely. All our volunteers have completed the application process, mandated reporter training, and background checks/live scans. They also attend our VBS volunteer training, which includes additional safety instructions for the week. We also have a safety team on site each day to ensure a secure and fun environment for all children.

Be Part of the VBS Crew! We’re so excited for you to join the VBS Crew! Before we jump into the fun, all crew members are invited to a mandatory training meeting on June 7 at 4:00 PM in the High School Room. Make sure you attend so you’re ready to help make VBS 2026 amazing!
VBS CREW FAQ's
Do I have to attend the Training Meeting?
Yes! All volunteers at VBS must attend the training meeting on June 7 at 4:00pm in the High School Room. If you have any questions about the training, please contact Brittany Kalmink at bkalmink@gccvisalia.org.
Can I sign up to volunteer if I miss the deadline?
No. All volunteers must complete our volunteer process, and after the deadline there is not enough time to complete it. To ensure everyone is properly trained and cleared, please be sure to sign up before the deadline.
Can youth volunteer?
Yes! Youth are welcome to volunteer as long as they complete the youth volunteer application, which includes two references and a youth pastor reference.
How will I know where I have been placed to serve?
Once Crew registration closes, all volunteers will be placed in one of their top three choices. While your first choice is not guaranteed, you will be assigned to one of your top three choices. If, for some reason, we are unable to place you in any of your top three, we will contact you to discuss another placement option. You will receive and email the Friday before our training meeting on June 5.
