Lauren Farris is the founder of the Healthy Voice Academy, where she shares her passion for healthy vocal technique with students and other vocal educators across the valley through private lessons, workshops, and clinics. Lauren has helped numerous people overcome vocal damage, recognize and correct unhealthy vocal techniques, and plans to continue this work both locally and abroad. Lauren holds a bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance and a master's degree in Music Education. In addition to her private studio, Lauren is an adjunct music professor at the College of the Sequoias in Visalia, CA. Outside of her teaching, Lauren can often be found performing with various local groups and ensembles, most frequently with the Visalia Community Chorus and Voces Lumine. Last March, Lauren was invited by the Paris Opera to audition in Paris for a full-time artist position, which she considers one of the highest honors of her career. Last June, Lauren performed in a joint solo concert at the Visalia Fox Theater with her dear friend and renowned organist Trent Barry, resurrecting the Wurlitzer organ hidden under the stage, in a magical one-night concert.
